Salford Sports TV
Salford Sports TV to me was never about getting loads of views or recognition. It was about me and my friends doing what we're passionate about every week for the love of the game. Thought up by my friend Bix Williams, Salford Sports TV is a group of young journalists recording and reporting on University Sports and posting it online so we can become all round better journalists and let players watch their footage back on both YouTube and Instagram. There's no glamour in Salford Sports TV we have all spent hours editing, lugging equipment back to Media City and even spent money going away to places like Leeds to record games but it was never about glamour. It was because we loved it
The Salford Sport Show is where I would say I have done my best presenting . This is because the shows are always alongside my friends so I have a natural dynamic, we always make sure to still give a good report on each game and do it justice while we also have fun while presenting it with each other. This show has also given me an opportunity to get to grips with the technical side of a studio has I have helped out on floor, cameras and autocue before.

A skill which Salford Sports TV has taught me is how to not only film but also set up and operate camera equipment. We mostly filmed games with the "Panasonic AGCX350E" which is a huge camera so setting it up can get some getting used to but eventually I got there and now I am able to set up the camera and film the whole 90 minutes and interviews. This camera is great for close ups and using it has helped me develop an eye for a shot which is a very strong journalistic quality.

Along with presenting and camera skills Salford Sport has taught me loads. I have commentated on a plethora of sports games including ones that I don't have great knowledge on, this has helped me to become adaptable and thrive in situations where I'm not the strongest. I've spend hours crafting my editing skills, staying up until 5am to get the footage ready for the show the next morning which helps my ability to get work done no matter how tired I am. Finally I have had some involvement in helping run the socials and creating pre and post match instagram posts.
